Amber and Christopher are a couple who weren’t afraid to go against tradition, so an intimate wedding ceremony, held at the Neon Graveyard in Las Vegas, was perfect for their glamorous and romantic day. retro inspiration!
“We wanted a wedding that was more ‘us’ and fun,” Amber told us. “We don’t really like dancing or traditional wedding activities. We were married by an Elvis who we hadn’t told our guests about before! We asked our guests to wear their Vegas attire which included feathers, sequins and fun prints.
The bride’s mom made the bride’s faux flower bouquet and the bride designed her own dress! “I had a hard time finding a Vegas-y dress that I liked. Even though I have a Design II degree, I didn’t want to take on a sewing project and plan a wedding at the same time, so I designed my silver dress and had it made, then just added feathers to the white dress.
“Don’t feel obligated to do what others expect,” she advises in conclusion. “We didn’t and we had so much fun. I feel like it’s important to stay true to yourself. Our 41 guests also had a great time and always tell us that it was the best wedding they had ever attended!
